Adopt-A-Block

Thank you for your participation in our 13th Annual Adopt-A-Block! This year's event was a tremendous success thanks to the support of all of our donors, volunteers, employers, and service providers like you.

Historically, the core of Adopt-A-Block has been the community beautification projects. 300 volunteers turned out this year to help paint and landscape three Second Chance Alcohol- and Drug-Free houses, paint a beautiful mural at the Tubman-Chavez Multicultural Center, and clean up two dumpsters worth of trash and litter from the streets of Encanto. Job well done!

This year’s Employment and Resource Fair enriched Adopt-A-Block by supporting our Second Chance mission to help at-risk men, women and youth with job readiness training, and affordable housing. An incredible 40 employers and resources were here to provide information and many job seekers were able to set up interviews for the next week.

Thank you for helping us to raise an amazing $110,000 to support Second Chance programs and services! Please help us continue to improve upon our event by downloading and completing our post event survey below. On behalf of all those in need of a Second Chance, we appreciate all that each of you contributed to make this a successful event by all measures.

Sincerely,
Second Chance STAFF, Board of Directors and the people we serve!

P.S. Save the Date! Make sure to mark your calendars for our Fall Celebration, taking place on Friday, September 28, 2007.
