THANK YOU to all of those who made our Community Job & Resource Fair and Adopt-A-House 2009 event so successful.
On Friday, the Community Job & Resource Fair attracted 58 exhibitors and more than 600 members of the community visited. We are grateful to all of the community resource agencies and employers that provided information to our guests. Special thanks to our workshop presenters: Phil Blair, CEO of Manpower; Mark Cafferty, President of San Diego Workforce Partnership; Marcy Morrison, author of FINDING YOUR PASSION: The Easy Guide to Your Dream Career and owner of Careers with Wings. Special thanks also to the human resource professionals who provided more than 100 individual resume critiques.
On Saturday, more than 100 volunteers, Second Chance staff members, and Second Chance housing residents joined together to complete projects at four Second Chance sober living homes. Volunteer teams were: Union Bank of California, National Charity League, UCSD Water Polo team, and individual community members.
