Nothing can stop me now...
"My name is Priscilla and I am a Second Chance STRIVE graduate of class #67. I am a driven individual with a promising career in finance. In contrast,
three years ago I was broke and under the influence.
I have been working at a major public transportation agency for three years. I started as a Temporary Payroll Clerk and have worked my way up to Payroll Coordinator. Needless to say I am no longer temporary and I have recently been
challenged with taking on the duties of my Manager (in her absence). Along with working I have managed to take college courses. I presently hold a GPA just under 4.0.
I can't change what I've done and where I've been, but nothing can stop me from where I'm going and what I'm doing! I am thankful for the people at Second Chance and know that they are a part of something great, because they are a part of
me."
In 2005, Priscilla served as the San Diego STRIVE Alumni President. Her efforts led to the first ever STRIVE Alumni volunteer team to take part in Second Chance's annual Adopt-A-Block. This STRIVE alumni group secured a $5000 project
sponsorship and direct donations from STRIVE alumni. Through a remarkable amount of dedication, time and planning the STRIVE Alumni group for Adopt-A-Block completely changed the face of a home of an elderly Encanto couple.
