Ice cream lovers are in for a special treat on Tuesday, April 17th, as Ben & Jerry's Scoop Shops across the country will dish out FREE ICE CREAM CONES! This is Ben & Jerry's way of saying thank you to its customers and community. Free Cone Day was first celebrated in 1979 at the first Ben & Jerry's scoop shop in Vermont. The Ben & Jerry's Second Chance PartnerShop at 1254 University Avenue in Hillcrest will be giving away cones from 12:00pm until 8pm. CLICK HERE for directions.

A Ben & Jerry's PartnerShop is a regular Ben & Jerry's scoop shop owned and operated by a non-profit organization. Second Chance's PartnerShop provides job training and employment opportunities to at-risk youth to help them avoid homelessness, incarceration and drug abuse. Out of the 11 PartnerShops across the country, this is the first and only in Southern California.
