On Friday, May 16, there will be a Community Job & Resource Fair from 1:00 – 4:00 PM. Our goal is to have at least 20 community resource agencies providing information and 20 employers seeking new employees. We will also offer informative workshops and individual resume critiques with corporate human resource professionals. The Second Chance STRIVE class #119 will have its graduation that morning followed by lunch and the Resource Fair.

The next day, Saturday, May 17, volunteer teams will assist with beautification projects at all eight Second Chance sober living homes from 9:00 AM - Noon. These homes provide a needed refuge for the residents, and we want to ensure they maintain their value and their unique role in the community by seeing to their proper upkeep.

Thank you to the sponsors who have already signed up. We still need several more house sponsors!
Union Bank of California

Career Clothing Needed

Click here to find out moreSecond Chance continues to have very large classes. This has increased our need for new and gently-used career clothing. If you have men's or women's suits, ties, dress slacks, dress shirts, skirts or dress shoes you no longer wear, we could use them! We are also in frequent need of new underwear (men's and women's), nylons and socks.
