What does it cost?
The program is offered at no cost to the participants.
Is it only for men and women that have been in trouble or coming from jail?
No. The program is open to anyone who thinks they can benefit from it.
What is the age limit?
There is no age limit. (16 and over)
Do I need a high school diploma or GED?
No.
Do you have night classes?
Unfortunately, we do not currently offer night classes.
Do you provide bus tokens/bus pass?
Only for those individuals who are participants in our PREP program.
What kinds of jobs do you have?
We work with over 300 employers in the San Diego area. Our Job Developers will match your experience and expertise with a potential employer – we are a work readiness program -- not an employment agency.
Do I have to go all three weeks? – What if I get a job?
Although we encourage individuals to complete the 3 week course, in the event you get a job, Go To Work………that’s our goal for people – that they become self sufficient.
What kind of training do you offer?
We do “soft skill training” which means that we do not do anything technical. We work on interviewing techniques and behavior modification.
Are the classes offered in Spanish or any other language?
The classes are currently only offered in English.
What is the program about?
The program is designed to assist individuals with changing their old behaviors and attitudes. It’s about changing old negative behaviors and empowering individuals with the tools necessary to not only get a “job” but how to develop a career.
What is the length of the program?
Three weeks.
