“I was a junkie all my life. After Second Chance I live in a whole new world that I didn’t know existed. I had no hope but now I have so much. It feels really good to do an honest day’s work for an honest day’s pay.”
Angie took this advice to heart and it is really paying off for her. After she graduated from Second Chance as part of class #112, she took a job at Vons, determined to be the best grocery bagger that Vons had ever seen. So she did extra things like picking up litter while retrieving carts from the parking lot, taking to heart another piece of workforce training advice, “Be aware that people could be watching even if you aren’t aware of it”.
