Critical Hours

The first 72 hours following release from incarceration is a critical time in which a person’s most immediate needs must be met in order to ensure successful reentry into the community.

For this reason, San Diego County has dedicated resources for individuals released on probation who are in need of housing, counseling or job training.

Yet many newly released San Diegans who are not on probation face the exact same risk factors. Unfortunately, these individuals do not qualify for the same resources or support.

Your gift ensures that justice-involved individuals receive the training and services needed for successful re-entry into the community and the workforce.

Critical Support

Equipping justice-involved individuals with the skills and resources needed to successfully reenter the community and workforce is one of the most powerful – and cost-effective – ways to ensure they avoid future contact with the justice system.
